In this course, students will be exposed to various art mediums and artists. Each week we will cover a different art medium. The students will explore painting, sketching, music appreciation, and photography and expand their creativity with each distinction. The course will survey artists such as Kahlo, Picasso, Van Gogh, Hockney, Leibovitz, as well as various classical and contemporary musical composers. No prior experience necessary, all levels are welcome to participate. This course falls under the Communication, Critical Thinking, Information and Technology Literacy, and Personal, Social, Civic, and Environmental Responsibility Institutional Level Outcomes (ILOs).

Upon completion students will:
  • Develop essential skills to brainstorm, plan, and generate their own creative works through various mediums
  • Identify different artists and art forms
  • Describe the cultural significance of various works
