Hip-Hop Fundamentals - Grades 3rd-5th

This class will introduce students on how to dance in the genre of hip-hop. The course is a basic introduction to hip-hop dance and will teach students basic dance skills, including the importance of stretching and the use of rhythm. Students will need appropriate clothing such as comfortable clothing, shoes, etc. This course falls under the Communication and Personal and Social Responsibility Institutional Level Outcomes (ILOs).
Upon completion students will:
  • Learn the basics of hip-hop technique
  • Learn how to count music
  • Memorize small dance combinations
