Class Description:
Technology has influenced our lives tremendously, and students are so proficient with using
these devices. So why not take the next step and learn how to code games that are played on
these devices? In the Introduction to Coding with Scratch class, students will learn the basic
concepts of Computer Science with drag and drop programming using Scratch, and create their
own interactive games, stories, animations and much more.

Student Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
? Use a variety of age-appropriate technologies to communicate and exchange ideas.
? Create projects that use coding and various forms of graphic, audio to communicate
? Create their own interactive games, stories, and animations.

Student Expectations:
? Actively participate in class lessons
? Be respectful to teacher and classmates
? Complete homework that is assigned and be ready to share during class
